In my personal experience I have been on many teams from the past but my effective team is my soccer team. This was my team when I was in high school and also this is my best team because we have so many good communication, team work, trust, motivation and leadership.

At first when our communication during game was bad, we didn’t call for the ball and we didn’t talk at all. It felt like the field is silence and you never know what is behind you because your teammate never call men on. Men on is one of the term we use when your opponent is behind you. We were so lack of communication, our coach yelled at us and asked why we are so silence. During practice our coach punished us for not communicating in game. We started to communicate more and more and during game time, I started to hear my teammates talking and starting to hear them yelling Men On. As our communication had improved, our teamwork also improved too. Team work is the most important skill in soccer because you need to work as a team to score. My soccer team, we have a good team work, We work as a team, run together and help each other as a team. In game when I’m tire and I couldn’t drop to help my the defender, one of my teammate who plays by myself always drop when he sees that I’m tire. Whenever he tires, I helped him drop back to help the defender. I remembered one time during practice, the coach asked me to carry a bunch of balls from his car, I couldn’t do it myself because it was too much and there are so many soccer balls in his car. So I cant carry all of them at the same time so I started to throw them into the soccer field. All of sudden some of my teammates ran toward me and start helping me throw those soccer balls. We finished it in like 1 minute. We help each other and share our soccer shoes and socks. That was when I realized that I can trust my teammate. Trust is also another important skill in soccer because when you pass the ball to your teammate, you trust them that they will not fail. I have a lot of trust in my team because I knew that they will not let me down when I push, they will be right behind me to support me whenever I needed. Me and my teammate trusted each other so much that we learned not to get mad at each other when we joke around. Also the most important about trust is when you assign a task for him and you know that he will get it done. I started to shared my food with them and if someone didn’t bring money to the game, we also treat that person. My teammates also invited me to eat pasta at their house and sometime party together. Motivation is also a big part in a team because you need each other to motivate to keep the team going. Every time we run 5 miles, I always the last person because I was lack of stamina, but I didn’t want to give up because I don’t want to be the last person forever and I don’t want to be the substitute during game. Also there was this professional soccer player who always motivated me to keep on practicing because I knew that if I don’t give up and keep on practicing, I will be a good player. Leadership, in soccer is important because each soccer team, there always a captain who work really hard and who always motivate teammate to come practice everyday. Our team, we have a good captain, he always the first person who showed up at the soccer field before anyone and even before the coach. He was a person who work the hardest and always take practice serious that is why he is the captain. I was also a leader in my way during game because I have responsibility to do during game. I have to stay on my position and make sure that I control the field.

This was the year I had the most successful team so far where everyone helped each other out. Because we have good communication, team work, trust, motivation and leadership, we won the tournament in Green bay and got first place.
